A
floating space over a cliff in Scotland, this is a weekend house
designed for Alf Bauer and his wife Tine, scientists from Munich. The
house has strong links with the site: bluish stones and endless views
towards the misty Nordic Ocean, make the place quite bizarre, as the
space itself that "moves together with the wind" (more than with the
land). The inner space is divided only in two: a small private room for
resting and a large living area composed by eating, reading and playing
areas. A metallic-bronze spiral staircase connects the cellar (Whisky
storage) with a small observation tower. The building has concrete and
steel structures, and is covered and wrapped by different nordic woods
and aluminium.
