This project replaces (in an uncertain future) the extraordinary National Library by Clorindo Testa, who actually saw the main perspective around 1995, during a wonderful afternoon in his studio. After pointing that the strange form remainded him of some curious coloured liquids he keeps in four or five glass pods, he immidiately liked the idea of having a National Library in the middle of the Pampas. It could act as the Center of a New Argentina, literally based on knowledge and Humanism, like the one Domingo Faustino Sarmiento started to build around 1870, dream that became real and survived till today. This Library is an homage as well to the eternal existence of books, which are simple, beautiful, unique and unreplaceable.
